December 19, 2007 - TRAILS ARE OPEN!!!! A group of us met up today for our first official ride. We rode to Bear Swamp. Conditions were great with the exception of a few running creeks and mud holes. Guess we need a few more bridges! |

January 5, 2008 -What a day this ended up being! We started out in the morning thinking we'd have to cut our day short. We met up with Bruce and Joe in Skaneateles and decided to head to Bear Swamp. The further south we got the more awesome the conditions were! After lunch we headed to Lake Como and on through Moravia to take that trail home. All in all it was a great day riding. Can't wait till our next one!

January 25, 2008 - 9 of us headed to C-Square & dropped off at Two Guys. We headed east on the old railroad bed where the riding was awesome! After that the trails were fair to good. We stopped at the Florence Hotel for lunch and then headed for Redfield. Trail conditions got really rough and the traffic increased. From Redfield we went to Parish and headed back to Central Square, got lost for a while on an unmarked farmer patrolled trail. Ever get chased by an angry farmer on a tractor??? 4 of the guys in our group will tell you it's no fun, just ask them! We all ended up getting back to Two Guys safely. Gotta say, we all had a blast!

February 16, 2008 - We all braved the local conditions and rode north to Fair Haven. The conditions were fair to poor until we got past TC's in Cato. Once we passed there the conditions improved tremendously! I guess the Park Police thought the same thing because they set up a road block and were checking everyone's registration and insurance. They had quite a few people pulled over and getting tickets when we went through. Moral of the story - RIDE LEGAL! Members of the Second Time Around Club (part of WWW) met up with other members of the Weedsport Winter Wanderers club and we all went to the Little Sodus Inn for lunch. I don't think they thought they would have much business so they weren't quite prepared for the group they got for lunch. They had to go buy supplies! We weren't the only club to arrive. After lunch, the STA group decided to head up to the lake and then back home. The rest of the WWW members decided to head around through Fulton and back. It was a great day for riding! We need to plan more club rides. It was great to get some of us together! |
| February 23, 2008-- A few of us got together to ride up north. We dropped off at Two Guys from Italy in C-Square. That was a mistake. The first 12 miles were rough to put it nicely. After that they were great. We rode to the Tug Hill Inn for lunch and then headed back home. The ride got a bit rough from traffic on the way back. The picture of the gorge by Flat Rock is courtesy of Jim Chehovich who rode with a group of his friends. |

Presidents Week Vacation-- A group of 11 club members headed up north to stay at Tupper Lake / Old Forge area for a few days of snowmobiling fun. Did some equipment repairs with Nascar duct tape! Nice cabin! Check out the Beaver River Groomers.

February 27, 2008 -- Our ride today from Central Square to West Lyden Hill Top Tavern just outside of Consabilville for a very Good Lunch! Dave Samons, Paul Schwarting, Pat Wagner, Rob Weatherstone, Joe Farugia, Andy Wargo, Kim Rinaldo Great time! |

February 28, 2008 -- A small group of us rode the local trails today and went down to Cortland. We made a quick stop in Bear Swamp and then headed on to Applebee's in Cortland for lunch. We asked the waitress to take our picture but as you can see, it didn't turn out well. The trails were unbelievable! A little rough in a couple spots but overall they were nice! It felt good to be on home turf!

March 1, 2008 -- Once again a few members of the STA gang got together for a ride. This time we went up north stopping for an early lunch at Little Sodus Inn. We swung around thru Hannibal/Fulton area taking the C4 trail. That was crazy. No markings, poor conditions. If it weren't for a couple locals headed our way, we would never have found our way! Once we got past that area of C4 it was absolutely fantastic! We rounded thru Cato, stopping at Southards Hill so Joe could have a bit of fun and then headed back home. What a great day!

March 28, 2008— Matt, Jeff Hollfelder, Andy Wargo, and Dave Samons arrived at Wynonna Forest at 7:15 am to find groomed trail, fast with 1 inch of fresh snow. Checked out some of the park before going up to Barnes Corners, then to Copenhagen. From there we passed the Maple Ridge Wind farm in East Lowville, then up into Martinsburg by Rector Rd. We went down Rector Rd for lunch at The Montague with just short of 100 miles. Had to go back to Barnes Corners for gas then went into ski park east and back to 7X9 Rd to Denning Rd. That’s where we met the police with radar in a nice long straight away. After that we went back to Wynonna Forest for some more miles and hit every trail all said and done and back to the trucks with 170 miles for the day. Good time for all! |
