2/26/11 - Rode around the lake to Song Mtn. Trails were great, tons of powder. Stopped at Moguls for lunch and headed back home through Bear Swamp. Trails got rough in the woods heading home but other than that a great ride! 2/23/11 - With such beautiful trails and weather we couldn't pass up another quick ride south. We headed to Bear Swamp for lunch at the Colonial Lodge and then rode around enjoying the day. 2/22/11 - We had a great day riding to the south. We rode down to Lake Como for lunch. After lunch we headed towards Cortland turned and headed towards Song Mtn. The farther south you rode the better the trails got. Groomed trails and bright sun. One of the best rides this year! 2/15/11 - Just out riding the local trails and enjoying the beautiful day! February 11-13, 2011 - Mario, Shawn, and Drew from Universal Sales and Accessories in Syracuse and I(Aaron) met on the Canal in Jordan and rode to Boonville Friday night. Saturday left Boonville and went to Cranberry lake, came back through Stillwater back to Boonville. Sunday headed back home down through McConnellsville and Central Square. My sled turned over 10K miles on the way back. Overall trouble free milage was 501 for the 3 days. Also saw Rob in the groomer at 5:00 at Rolling Wheels Friday when I left. Took this still shot from my helmet cam.

February 2-6, 2011 - Letchworth State Park - some very nice trails and a very big hole in the ground made by the river. February 2-6, 2011 - Trailered to Allegheny Park, went to Thunder Rocks and tried to stay in the right state but we did end up at the Pa. border. Nice riding in the park with very little traffic, could have been signed better as we got turned around a few times. All in all a great ride. Saw groomers and not many sleds, pretty much had the place to ourselves. February 2-6, 2011 - Going through the Majestic Mountains, lots of high peaks and hill climbing. Some of the power lines cuts we road and could be seen from peak to peak, Never made Allegheny Park after 90 miles but had a lot of fun. 200 miles for the day with a group of 10 and back to camp at 11 P.M. February 5, 2011 - Great day riding! We did the Elbridge, Marcellus, Bear Swamp loop. Had a little fun with the hills. Had lunch at Colonial Lodge. It was packed! Conditions were awesome. Ran into Kim Rinaldo at one point! Seems all the clubs were doing a great job with grooming. February 1, 2011 - A group from DW Diesel took out a co-worker from Worcester MA to show him around our trails. He was really impressed with the area and the trails. Stopped at TC's in Cato for lunch and headed home doing a little racing on the way. January 29, 2011 - Planned on heading to the Gatherings in Virgil but found out last minute they didn't open till later. Decided to head south to Cortland for lunch at Applebee's instead. January 23, 2011 - Dave Samons, Andy Wargo and Pat Wager rode to the pancake breakfast at Kellogsville L.O.O.F. They had good food and good trails. January 16, 2011 - Dave Samons, Andy Wargo, and Clint Smith headed to Cato Sunday morning and hit whiteout conditions. Stopped for breakfast and to assess the ride on if they should turn around or continue. Blackberry said that the front was moving thru & would clear. Drank a pot of coffee and went on. Went out and had a great time playing in the deep snow in Cato and Red Creek! January 16, 2011 - Aaron rode from his house to Elbridge to Weedsport to Cato and back. As you can see from the pictures there were huge changes in the weather conditions. They canceled thier trip to Gristmill because of the snow. Trails were good to excellent, he rode Cato's trails that were groomed the night before, had 4 inches of new untouched snow (see RR bed north).

Ran into a couple water/mud holes and a few low snow spots but overall not bad ride! January 8, 2011 - Dave Samons sends in his pics of his ride around Otisco Lake with Andy Wargo and Clint Smith. They headed over to the Toad Hollow Sled Show. The trails were real good with areas by Rt 20 & Tanner Rd being groomed. Areas with low snow were really bad. Song Mtn was pushing some of the 10 ft of snow they made! December 31, 2010 - Dave, Paul and Aurie road from Elbridge, to Plainville, to Cato up to 104 store for lunch. Took S55B to Cato and C5B to Weedsport area. Trails were getting a lot of use and started to show the wear and tear by the afternoon. Lots of sleds at TC's in Cato with some out of state trailers. They missed the sled fire by 30 mins. Bad way to start the season for that rider! December 28, 2010 - We had a great ride today. We headed to the B'ville Pizza Hut for lunch. Trails were awesome for the most part. Could have used a little grooming here and there, but not bad at all. Wished we could have stayed out longer! December 22, 2010 - A few of us got together trail opening day for what we thought would be a quick ride up to Fair Haven and back. Conditions weren't bad except for a few mud holes on the old railroad bed in Cato. Patrols were out full force on opening day. We were stopped in Cato and then again in Fair Haven. Glad to have the support of law enforcement! They were great! Took time out to clear a tree from the trail and later help a guy get his sled out of ditch. With the exception of the freezing rain that started on the way home, we had a great time! It's great to be back on the trails!! 12-18-10 - Aaron and Kevin hitting the ramp in the yard. Had a good time and hit 67 feet. Disclaimer: Weedsport Winter Wanderers does not encourage this type of riding. These jumps were done on private property by individuals who know what they are doing.
